The Perfect Pooch
Golden Retrievers bred for field and show.
Our dogs are selected for their sound temperaments, conformation, and overall function. Our puppies are brought up in our home and on the farm. They get exposure to different stimuli and situations to ensure sound and good-tempered dogs in the future. We like to prove our dogs through a variety of sports including conformation, obedience, rally, hunt tests, and field trials.
Our kennel's main goal is to produce dog's that combine the natural ability of field bred dog's and the conformation of dogs bred for the show ring. We want our dogs to be loyal hunting companions, show ring winners, and lovable family pets to preserve the breed's legacy as the "gentleman's hunting dog".
The Golden Retriever standard calls for dogs to be friendly, reliable, and trustworthy. We ensure our dogs are of proper temperament through various avenues including, but not limited to, the AKC Temperament Test, AKC Canine Good Citizen Test, and AKC obedience and rally trials.

Our dogs are health tested through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) and the UC Davis Veterinary Genetics Laboratory. Our dogs have current health testing listed on their pages that follow the Golden Retriever Club of America (GRCA) health testing guidelines. Please see each dog's individual pages for their health testing results.
No, we do not ship our puppies and have no plans to do so in the future. There are too many horror stories about shipping complications for us to feel comfortable shipping our pups. We can meet you half or part-way, depending on distance and our schedule. We are reasonably close to Lambert International Airport and Columbia Regional Airport and can meet you there if our schedule allows.
Yes, we will always take our puppies back. If the owner cannot, for whatever reason, take care of the puppy, we will take it back and attempt to re-home it with a new family. Don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you need to return one of our puppies.
Our dogs are purebred Golden Retrievers registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC). All puppies will be registered with AKC and can compete in AKC events that are open to the breed. Some of our breeding dogs are also registered with the International All-Breed Canine Association (IABCA) and United Kennel Club (UKC). These registration numbers are available upon request.
A majority of our puppies are sold on limited registration, which means the puppy will be ineligible for conformation shows and will not be able to produce registered litters. We do sell select puppies with full registration to homes interested in conformation. We are selective about the homes we place full registration puppies in. Please inquire if you are looking for a puppy with full registration.
We use litter themes for each of our litters to help us easily identify what litter a puppy is from. We will provide a list of registered names to choose from, although you are welcome to come up with a name that fits the litter theme. Some examples of previous themes include Tombstone, Yellowstone, Lonesome Dove, and Red Dead Redemption.
The GRCA provides puppy referral as a convenience to puppy buyers to find out about breeders who are GRCA members and their litters. GRCA takes no responsibility whatsoever for any puppies/dogs that you may acquire through GRCA puppy referral. GRCA is not responsible for any breeder’s sale practices and sales contracts, nor will GRCA be involved in any manner in contract disputes between puppy buyers and breeders. Availability of puppies and conditions of sale are at the sole discretion of the individual breeder. Buyers are encouraged to read ACQUIRING A GOLDEN RETRIEVER, as found on the grca.org website, for general information about obtaining a puppy, to take as much time as necessary to locate a reputable breeder from whom they feel comfortable purchasing a puppy, and to investigate breeders and their puppies thoroughly before committing to a purchase. You are not obligated to purchase a puppy from the breeders whose names you obtain from GRCA puppy referral.

We currently have puppies available from our June 2024 litter, who are looking for loving homes. There are show, sport, and pet puppies still available.
